Our Process
From first photos on WhatsApp to a warrantied finish — here's exactly how Rayco undersealing and chassis work is carried out, step by step, in our Wexford workshop.
The full process
- Step 1
Send Photos & Details
WhatsApp your vehicle year, make, model and clear photos of the underside and any rust areas to 087 919 2193 for an initial quote.
- Step 2
Ramp Inspection
Bring the vehicle to our Wexford yard for a proper ramp inspection so we can assess chassis condition and confirm a fixed quote.
- Step 3
Wash & Degrease
Full pressure wash and degrease of the entire underside to remove dirt, old coating and grime so nothing is trapped under the new work.
- Step 4
Rust Treatment & Cut-Out
Corroded areas are treated, and any rotten steel is cut out ready for repair rather than coated over.
- Step 5
Welding (If Needed)
Structural chassis welding — rails, outriggers, sills and crossmembers — carried out to NCT standard on the correct gauge steel.
- Step 6
Cavity Wax Injection
Cavity wax is pumped into box sections, sills and rails — the enclosed areas a spray gun aimed at the outside can never reach.
- Step 7
Underseal Application
Heavy-duty rubberised underseal is applied in a full spray booth for even, controlled coats over every exposed surface.
- Step 8
Cure & Warranty
The coating is left to cure fully before handover, with warranty documentation covering up to 7 years depending on the package.
