Why Jeep frames corrode
A ladder frame is a set of box sections. Water and mud get in through drain holes and factory openings; on a vehicle used off-road or on wet lanes, they stay in. Rot then works outwards, so the first visible hole is late-stage damage.
Body mounts are a second problem area — the bracket, the mount and the rail all sit together and trap grit between them.
