Welding Repairs Ireland

Vehicle welding done properly: correct steel, full-penetration welds, and the finished repair sealed and coated rather than left bare.

In short

  • We carry out MIG welding repairs on vehicle chassis, underbody, brackets, mounts and steelwork.
  • Work is carried out in the yard on a ramp, which gives better access and a better repair than roadside welding.
  • Every weld is dressed, sealed and coated as part of the job.
  • Send WhatsApp photos of the affected area to 087 919 2193 and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a repair worth doing before you travel to the yard.

The welding work we take on

  • Chassis and box section repair
  • Outriggers, crossmembers and body mounts
  • Sills, floor pans and inner structure
  • Spring hangers and suspension mounting points
  • Tow bar and bumper mount repair
  • Brackets, steps, guards and load-bay steelwork
  • Trailer chassis, drawbars and ramp hinges
  • Plant and machinery steel repair

Why yard welding beats roadside welding

Good welds need clean, dry, accessible metal. On a ramp we can get the vehicle high enough to see and reach the whole repair area, clean it back properly, and control the environment while we work.

It also means we can finish the job — dress the weld, seal it, paint it and coat it — rather than leaving bare hot steel exposed to the first shower of rain.

What we don't do

We are a vehicle chassis and underbody workshop. If a job needs something outside that — specialist certification work, or materials we don't work with — we will say so up front rather than take it on.

What the job involves

Every repair, step by step

  • Vehicle on the ramp — full underbody assessment and photos
  • Corroded steel cut back to clean, solid metal
  • Repair sections fabricated from correct-gauge steel
  • MIG welded, dressed back and checked for full penetration
  • Seams sealed to keep water out of the joint
  • Primed and painted before any coating goes on
  • Underbody protection applied over the finished repair
  • Photos of the work sent to you before collection

Frequently asked questions

What kind of welding do you do?

MIG welding on vehicle steel — chassis, underbody structure, mounts, brackets and fabricated sections.

Do you do mobile or roadside welding?

Work is carried out in the yard on the ramp, because access and finishing quality are far better than a roadside repair.

Can you fabricate a section that isn't available as a part?

Yes — where a repair section is not available, we fabricate one to match the original profile and gauge.

Do you weld trailers and machinery as well as vehicles?

Yes, we take on trailer chassis, plant and machinery steel repairs alongside vehicle work.

How do I get a quote?

WhatsApp photos of the damage or corrosion to 087 919 2193 with a description of the vehicle.
